This sample is directed at advertising, design prototypes or similar situations. It thus wanted to leave the environment of the architecture that although it is very relevant in the field of computer graphics, there is a whole world of situations that require this type of hyper-realistic three-dimensional representations.
Different versions were made by varying the stone used and the metal. Thus we can see the different effects that would produce the different versions and can serve as a previous study in the selection of the final material. There's to keep in mind that the fact of changing the stone color affects not only the same but all the small reflections and lighting bounces that are impregnate with the color.
In this concrete paper we highlight the use with particular attention of the caustic curves. These curves are responsible for the effects we see in particular at the exhibitor. In this detail we see the reflections produced by the green stone.
There's to keep in mind that not only occur at the exhibitor but in every place where the light falls, as shown in detail below which gold is dyed green.

For the reflections, which are seen in this detail very well, we used a HDRI environment that provides all the necessary brightness and richness of the reflections.
To this ring had to make two particularly complex textures, polished gold and burnished gold since that's how the piece was designed. In the polished gold texture has managed to convey the softness and warmth provided by this metal. Likewise, in the texture of burnished gold, the effect has been well thought succeeded.
